Moonridge Corridor Improvement Project Resumes Construction
Construction on the Moonridge Corridor Improvement Project resumed in April 2022. Subsurface improvements began in July 2021, and construction was put on hold in October for the winter.
Originally conceived as part of the Rathbun Corridor Sustainability Plan in 2017, the project will ultimately transform the Moonridge Corridor between Elm Street and Clubview Drive, and will include comprehensive streetscape improvements, drainage improvements, a new bicycle trail, two new roundabouts, a new median, landscape improvements, and more.
Moonridge Road will be closed to through traffic from Elm Street to Club View Drive for the duration of the construction. The project is expected to be completed by October 2022. Moonridge businesses, including the Big Bear Alpine Zoo, are open and accessible via clearly marked detours.
